My lesson on editing and proofreading was very well received by students. On building the presentation students wrote, “Good job on your organization of materials on your slides… all material was relevant and meaningful.” Another student wrote that the handouts I provided were “really useful and clear. The [student learning outcomes] are good and thorough.”
Using discussion questions to guide the conversation on the topic editing and proofreading proved very effective. Students wrote that they “really liked the way [my] questions sparked good discussion.”
Also, the multi-modal approach I took in this lesson helped keep students’ attention, and they enjoyed the videos I incorporated into the presentation.
